OFFICIAL LEAVE DATE --- MONDAY APRIL 12

I have studied the maps, examined the elevation, and identified where NOT to go!
I have tentatively planned every night- camping, staying in fellow cyclist's homes, and couchsurfing. In lieu of writing down every night- here are the tentative state crossing dates... after a couple weeks on the road I should know if these are realistic- and if I will be 3 weeks early or 3 weeks late!

Leaving from The Plains, Virginia- APRIL 12
Entering Kentucky- APRIL 20
Entering Illinois- APRIL 28
Entering Missouri- APRIL 30
Entering Kansas- MAY 5
Entering Colorado- MAY 12
Entering Wyoming- MAY 20
Entering Montana- MAY 27
Entering Idaho- JUNE 3
Entering Oregon- JUNE 7
REACH WEST COAST- JUNE 17
Entering Washington- JUNE 18
Finish at Seattle, Washington- JUNE 20

ON ANOTHER NOTE: A great friend of mine was supposed to be part of this but dropped out for personal reasons... He will be greatly missed. I am meeting a few people along the way- mostly strangers who contacted me thorough adventurecycling.org- some who might ride with me for a short period. If anyone wants to come along for all or some of the trip please email immediately.
